From 04 to 07 May 2015, Techtextil as the leading international trade fair will again feature all product groups and application areas in technical textiles and nonwovens. With double-digit growth figures among exhibitors and visitors in 2013, Techtextil consolidated its position as the global hub of a highly innovative industry. Over 27,400 trade visitors from 97 countries came to see innovations presented by 1,330 exhibitors from 48 countries. In addition, 13 nations made presentations on joint stands at Techtextil 2013. About 44 per cent of all Texprocess visitors also decided to gather information at Techtextil.

From 4 to 7 May 2015 the international textile and clothing industry will be presenting itself for the third time at Texprocess. The worldwide leading trade fair covers the entire value chain of the textile processing industry, i.e. processing, the design of cuts, cutting to size, sewing, embroidery, knitting, and indeed also IT, finishing and logistics. The latest trade fair attracted 330 exhibitors and over 12,100 visitors, with a 4 percent increase in exhibitors and 16 percent more visitors than the previous event. Also, more than 8,100 Techtextil visitors decided to gather information at Texprocess, which was taking place at the same time. In all, the trade fair duo recorded 1,652 exhibitors and 40,000 international visitors.

Main Press Conference - Techtextil/Texprocess 2015

Excellent news for the two leading trade fairs: Techtextil and Texprocess 2015 will grow, with the biggest increase in the group of functional apparel textiles and apparel technologies. At the Press Conference Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, will present a world premiere with a new multifunctional jacket. Furthermore, Detlef Braun and Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies, will report on the latest developments of the textile fair portfolio of Messe Frankfurt and in particular, on Techtextil and Texprocess. Serge Piolat, President of Euratex (European Apparel and Textile Confederation), will then give an overview of the technical textiles sector in the European Union. Finally, Elgar Straub, Director General, VDMA Garment and Leather Technology, will discuss the current situation in the German leather and garment machinery industry.

Pressconference Techtextil/Texprocess 2015

At the Press Conference, Messe Frankfurt’s Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies, and Michael Jänecke, Director Brand Management Technical Textiles & Textile Processing, will report on the latest developments at Techtextil, Leading International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens, and Texprocess, Leading International Trade Fair for Processing Textile and Flexible Materials, which will be held at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre from 4 to 7 May 2015. Jürgen Grebe, Corporate Sector Analyst at Commerzbank AG, will then present a Commerzbank report on the technical textiles sector offering a topical overview of the risks and opportunities in the market. Finally, Elgar Straub, Director General, VDMA Garment and Leather Technology, will discuss the current situation in the German leather and garment machinery industry.
